From Verathon Inc.; 'Verathon Inc.'s (formerly Diagnostic Ultrasound Corp.) new Mobile BladderScan® instrument noninvasively performs and stores a minimum of ten patient bladder volume exams, each associated with a voice annotation, so health care providers can conveniently monitor patients' bladder function on their rounds. The easy-to-use, handheld instrument provides an alternative to diagnostic urinary catheterization, eliminating unnecessary urethral trauma to the patient. Studies have shown that BladderScan® technology prevents unnecessary catheterization, reduces the incidence of catheter-related urinary tract infections, and improves satisfaction with care provided among both staff and patients.' •

A mode is an operational state that a system has been switched to. A normal mode occurs when all parts of a system oscillate with the same frequency. For example, a standing wave is a continuous form of normal mode. In a standing wave, all the parts are oscillating in the same frequency and phase but each has a different amplitude. • View NEWS results for 'Mode' (26). •
